Tiger Muay Thai would like to welcome one of it’s newest staff members, top tier fitness coach, Andrew “Woody” Wood.
Making a name for himself in the Phuket strength and conditioning community,Wood, has nearly a decade of experience under his resume. Wood has worked within the fitness industry and has created and delivered individual and group training programs in areas of the United Kingdom and currently here in Thailand.
Wood has worked extensively in the ‘sports specific’ personal training sector and has expertly guided amateur, semi-pro and pro clients to reaching their max potential. His clients range in professions including: rugby, Muay Thai, K-1, MMA and bodybuilding.
Additionally, Wood also conducts sessions for clients looking for general fitness and body transformation.
On top of being a qualified personal trainer under the National Academy of Sports Medicine, (NASM) some of Wood’s qualifications also include: UK Strength and Conditioning foundation, MMA Conditioning coach (MMACA CC), Training for Warriors Coach, Kettlebells, Spinning, Primal Flow and ViPr.
Wood’s personal endeavors have also seen him play rugby league for 10 years, representing the North of England and has been featured in the Maximuscle supplement publication. Wood also currently holds a professional Muay Thai record of 3-1 and hopes to step into the cage for his MMA debut soon.
His specific strength and conditioning for MMA is utilized by some of the world’s elite fighters, including UFC, One FC and Bellator, veteran and Tiger Muay Thai Head MMA coach Roger Huerta and other current UFC fighters including Mairbek Taisumov and Zubair Tuhugov.
