Veteran welterweight, “Benny Blanco” Alloway, returned to camp today, hoping to sharpen his skills for an April 28 “Brace-for-War-MMA” fight against Rod Staader. A win would make it five-straight for the Australian and improve his record to 12 wins, 3 losses.
“I’m hoping to get a lot of wrestling in with Brian (Ebersole) and J.J. (Ambrose)—it’s the weakest part of my game,” he said.
Alloway’s last training session at Tiger came back in October. He left Thailand just a month later and went on a hot-streak—winning three straight fights, including impressive submission wins against Dan Hyatt and Rashid Abdullah (the latter coming in front of an estimated crowd of nearly 15,000 in St.Charles, Missouri in the U.S.).
After also spending time training with Matt Hughes and the famed H.I.T. Squad camp in the U.S., Alloway will be at Tiger for close to a month. Hopefully his training here will help propel him to yet another victory in the cage.
His new bride will be expecting it…
